Presenter Guidelines

Slideshow Presenters

  • All presentations are limited to a maximum of 15 minutes; this maximum includes Q&A time. If your presentation takes the full 15 minutes, we will skip the Q&A and move to the next presenter.
    • We recommend you prepare your talk to allow for 10–12 minutes of presentation and 3 minutes of Q&A.
    • Save your presentation file, in PPT or PPTX format, on a USB and provide it to the session chair overseeing your talk.
    • Plan to meet with the session chair in the room you will be presenting in at least 10 minutes prior to the start of your session so that you can load your presentation onto the computer.

Poster Presenters

  • Prepare your poster in Microsoft® PowerPoint® using our poster template as a guideline; this can be found on the Showcase Your Work page.
    • Submit your poster in PPT or PPTX format via My Conference by the final deadline: Friday, September 22.
    • COMSOL will be professionally printing all posters prior to the start of the conference.
  • Poster requirements:
    • Poster size (i.e., page size): 119.5 cm (height) x 84.7 cm (width) portrait style with a 6-mm margin on all sides.
    • A white or light background is recommended.
    • Please use a standard font to ensure quality printing (e.g., Calibri), and use these font sizes as a guideline to prepare your poster for best viewing:
      • Title: 90–120 pt.
      • Subtitles: 70–80 pt.
      • Captions, references, and author names/affiliations: 18–40 pt.

At the Conference:

  • All posters will be on display in the exhibition foyers throughout the conference.
  • The poster session will be held on Wednesday, October 25, at 6–7 p.m.
    • Please make yourself available near your poster during this time.
    • Visit the presenter station to find your poster number if you are unable to locate it.
    • Attendees will have the opportunity to cast their votes for the Best Poster award during this session.
    • The posters will be taken down on Friday, October 27, after the closing remarks.
