Spherical Hydrophone

A spherical hydrophone consisting of a PZT ceramic, a coating material, and a cable is modeled in 2D axisymmetry. The Receiving Voltage Sensitivity (RVS) is computed for an incident plane wave and compared to an analytical solution from the reference for an ideal spherical hydrophone. Compared to the reference solution, the model differs by capturing the effects of the damping and the impedance match of the coating material as well as acoustic scattering from the cable.
