In this archived webinar, you’ll get an introduction to microacoustic effects and how to model them using the COMSOL Multiphysics^® software. We start by discussing common applications where microacoustic effects are present, such as microspeakers, microphones, and microelectromechanical systems. Then, we cover the features in COMSOL Multiphysics^® for analyzing these effects, including the:

Thermoviscous Acoustics interface
Narrow Region Acoustics domain feature
Thermoviscous Boundary Layer Impedance condition

In addition, we demonstrate how to analyze microacoustic effects using these features in an ear canal simulator model and a wax guard model.
