Applications Engineer: Multiphysics

COMSOL India is seeking an Applications Engineer who is familiar with multiphyics analysis to join its Bangalore office. We are seeking an individual with a strong background in finite element analysis, numerical methods, and at least one area of: structural mechanics, heat transfer, electromagnetics, fluid flow, chemical reactions, and/or acoustics, to deliver technical training courses on COMSOL products. Candidates who have prior teaching experience are encouraged to apply. Proven experience with COMSOL Multiphysics and programming language- JAVA is desirable.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-line and on-site technical trainings for the COMSOL Multiphysics product suite for potential and existing customers in government, industry, and academia. In this role, you will train the COMSOL users on how to use COMSOL Multiphysics to solve a variety of challenging scientific and engineering problems.
  • Develop customized training material for a variety of customers in government, industry, and academia.
  • Update and maintain the course material with new product releases, incorporating new features and functionality in COMSOL.
  • Develop industry standard as well as academic course specific COMSOL Applications using COMSOL's app builder tools.
  • Provide technical support, via email and phone, by addressing technical questions, providing guidance, advice, and modeling assistance in a wide variety of application areas.
  • Occasional travel for various COMSOL events to engage with current and potential COMSOL users.


  • Genuine interest in teaching, computational physics, and simulation tool.
  • Strong presentation/training delivery skills, both in-person and on-line.
  • Strong technical skills in numerical analysis, physics, and modeling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • B.E. or M.E./M.S. in engineering, physical sciences, or life sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience with computational modeling.
  • 5-10% travel per month.
