Marketing Events Specialist

A software company in Burlington, MA is seeking a full-time Marketing Events Specialist to join a team of experienced marketers. Our marketing department works with both US and Worldwide marketing programs. The Marketing Events Specialist will focus primarily on online events, with the possibility of in-person events in the future while also assisting on special projects as they are assigned.

This candidate will make a valuable contribution to the team. While the role will continue to grow and evolve, starting responsibilities include:

  • Management of training course plan
    • Overseeing scheduling of year-round training course plan for US market
    • Publishing event webpages
    • Create and coordinate marketing plan to obtain course registrants
    • Coordinate production of training course material for attendees
    • Manage training course logistics which includes training sessions for speakers, setting up event using GoToWebinar, post event surveys, etc.
    • Ensure event runs smoothly from start to finish
  • Exhibition and tradeshow project support
    • Securing sponsorships or virtual booths with vendors
    • Logistics of material and overall event plan
    • Ongoing reporting of results

Desired Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or related experience
  • 2-3 years of experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Resourceful in solving problems and maximizing resources
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with GoToWebinar or GoToMeeting preferred
