At COMSOL, we develop our own simulation software and provide it to technology enterprises, government facilities, national labs, academic research facilities, and more. Our flagship product, COMSOL Multiphysics®, is used for simulating technical applications in almost all engineering industries and scientific disciplines.

COMSOL, Inc. is seeking a sales events coordinator who will utilize their interpersonal skills and passion for event planning to organize, host, and run sales-driven events with the goal of motivating existing leads to become customers and users of the COMSOL® software.

This is an in-office position. Standard work hours may be adjusted from time to time in order to assist events in varying time zones in the U.S. and Europe.

Primary Responsibilities

As a sales events coordinator, you will:

  • Drive leads and prospects from initial contact and registration with COMSOL toward strong sales opportunities.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and contribute to upselling through running application-specific events.
  • Develop brand awareness and cross-marketing opportunities as a by-product to such events.
  • Open up new markets and encourage a flow of prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Coordinate day-long, mostly online events through project management of teams of technical applications engineers, marketing staff, and sales representatives.
  • Contribute to new event ideas and strategies.
  • Contribute to other sales and marketing activities on a project-by-project basis.
  • This is a corporate role with emphasis on the U.S. market. This will require adjusting strategies developed in the U.S. office to other COMSOL offices and channel sales partners throughout the world.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, or related experience with at least 2+ years of commensurate marketing or sales experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with a CRM-based as well as Microsoft Office tools.
  • Familiarity with GoToWebinar, GoToMeeting, and the RingCentral Meetings web-based meeting tools or equivalent is preferred.
  • Current eligibility to work in the U.S. No sponsorship for employment-based visas will be offered for this position.
