COMSOL, Inc. is seeking a full-time content writer to join our Content team onsite in Burlington, MA.
Job Description
As a content writer at COMSOL, you will tell the stories of engineers and scientists who are working on the latest innovative products, designs, and research. You will also use your creative writing skills to show our audience the benefits of incorporating multiphysics modeling and simulation into their research and development workflow.
In this role, you will work as part of a team of writers and editors and be directly involved in producing technical content to be published on the COMSOL website, third-party websites, and in print. You will start by writing blog posts and articles, and then potentially grow into other writing projects based on your interests and skills. You will collaborate closely with other teams and departments, in particular our PR team.
Responsibilities
- Write long- and short-form content for the blog, social media, and other digital and print content projects
- Research, organize, and craft content on various science and engineering topics
- Interview our customers about their innovative projects and write articles about their stories
- Gain a deep understanding of our target audiences
- Support the PR team with content for press releases and third-party publications
- As you grow, potentially:
- Write scripts for video projects
- Assist in publishing blog and social media posts
- Pitch and develop new content projects
Minimum Qualifications
- Exceptional understanding of the English language, grammar, syntax, and information organization
- Passion for engaging your audience (regardless of subject matter)
- Attention to detail
- Openness to revisions based on constructive feedback
- Excellent ability to manage your time and prioritize tasks
- Current eligibility to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship for employment-based visas will be offered for this position
Helpful Qualifications
- Interest in science and engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience working with content in a professional setting, especially B2B
- Knowledge of best practices in SEO and social media
- Positive, driven team player
