I am trying to simulate ultrasonic testing of steel by normal probe. A 2D model was built. The probe is defined as Lead Zirconate Titanate(PZT-5H) and generates a sine wave to the steel. Is there any problem with setting of boundary conditions? If the calculation is right, here are some questions.
Firstly, how can I get the plot which shows ultrasound near-far field (similar to attached figure 1) and the plot which shows beam pattern(similar to attached figure 2) ?
Secondly, how can I get the information about signal of wall echo (including the receiving time and amplitude of signal) ? In this ultrasonic testing, the probe generates incident wave and also works as receiver to obtain the wall echo.
Thank you very much.
