The Application Gallery features COMSOL Multiphysics® tutorial and demo app files pertinent to the electrical, structural, acoustics, fluid, heat, and chemical disciplines. You can use these examples as a starting point for your own simulation work by downloading the tutorial model or demo app file and its accompanying instructions.

Search for tutorials and apps relevant to your area of expertise via the Quick Search feature. To download the MPH-files, log in or create a COMSOL Access account that is associated with a valid COMSOL license. Note that many of the examples featured here can also be accessed via the Application Libraries that are built into the COMSOL Multiphysics® software and available from the File menu.

Pacemaker Electrode

This model, dealing with the current and potential distribution around one pair of electrodes, demonstrates how to synchronize and modify geometry in Inventor by using the LiveLink interface. Read More

Geometric Parameter Optimization of a Tuning Fork

This model computes the fundamental eigenfrequency and eigenmode for a tuning fork that is synchronized from Solid Edge via the LiveLink interface. The length of the fork is then optimized so that the tuning fork sounds the note A, 440 Hz. Read More

Shape Optimization of a Tuning Fork

Extending the Tuning Fork model, this example shows how to set up an Optimization Study to determine the prong length at which the fork vibrates at the standard concert pitch, 440 Hz. Read More

An Introduction to Shape Optimization in COMSOL

This example exemplifies the basics in how to optimize shapes using COMSOL Multiphysics®. A more detailed description of the phenomenon and the modeling process can be seen in the blog post "Designing New Structures with Shape Optimization". Read More

User-Defined License Agreement in an Application

This example of a simulation application shows how to add a user-defined license agreement, which you can use to protect applications that you publish and distribute. Read More
