Convection in a room

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi

We are trying to model a room with a window, door and radiator in COMSOL amd we want to incorporate natural convection. We have a block made of brick at 268K on outside, a bloack of air at 298K inside that and internal of that their is a radiator acting as a heat source made of steel. Its volume is 0.15m^3, and we chose a 2500W power source, which gives us a heat source value of 16666.67 W/m^3. It is initially set at 353K. The brick walls are set at thermal insulation, the air is set on continuity as is the radiator, door and window.

We need to model natural convection and we tried putting in velocities values and it hasnt worked.

We need to have this done by tuesday so any help is appreciated.

The file is attached.

Thanks

Felicity & Navid
