uniform lumped port and PML

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi All,
I am using 4.0a rf module. I have two questions
1. for the lumped port type, "coaxial" is easy to understand, meaning using a coaxial cable as excitation. What about "uniform"? What is it different from "coaxial"?
2. I don't know if I understand PML. Basically, if you know the wave is planar/spherical, you use scattering boundary condition. If you are not sure about or don't know the wave shape, you would like to use PML plus a larger scattering boundary condition. Do I understand PML correctly?

Thank you.
