                                                    Hello Akshayaa,
The layered elastic material functionality is part of the optional Composite Materials Module. It looks like your license may not include that product. To check on that, within the software, please go to File > Licensed and User Products and you will see which products are and are not on your license currently. If you would like to discuss adding that product, contact your COMSOL representative. You can find their contact information on our contact page. Note, however, that the feature in question currently exists only for the Shell interface and does not currently support piezoelectricity modeling. The only way to model a piezo stack today is through many domains drawn stacked on top of each other in the Solid Mechanics interface. Note that the piezoelectricity capabilities are available in the Structural Mechanics Module and in the MEMS Module (Please refer to the Specification Chart to see exactly what's available in each of those two optional products).
Best regards,
Jeff
