I simulate the flow of ideal gas through a channel with changing crss section using the High Mach Number Flow Model.
In the Inlet settings I have to specify the total temperautre, the total pressure and the Mach number.
In the Initial Values settings I have to specify again the temperature, the pressure and the velocity field.
So I wonder why I have to specify the Mach Number AND the velodity field. The Mach number should be Ma= u/a (a=sonic speed). So why does Comsol need both? How does it calculate the velocity field at the end? I can't find the formulas in the guide.
