Currently I am the solid mechanics module for the frequency response of a clamped-clamped beam; I am mainly interested in the first principal and parametric resonances of the beam (i.e. omega1 and 2omega1) by base exciting the system in the axial direction.
My two main questions are how would I put the base excitation for a constant acceleration but changing frequency i.e. Asinwt (say 9sinwt for the frequency sweep)
The other is how to setup the solver to solve for parametric resonances at around twice the principal resonance 2omega1?
Another question I have is with the piezoelectric module for voltage across the piezo-patch is the under electric>electric potential V? just double checking this one to make sure.
Your help is most appreciated
