Topology optimization can result in novel designs due the extreme design freedom associated with the method. Conventional manufacturing techniques impose constraints on the geometry which are often violated by topology optimization. This model demonstrates how the milling constraint functionality of the Density Model feature can be used to bridge the gap between traditional manufacturing techniques and topology optimization.
