Canceling a solve operation takes a LONG time. Why???

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

For some reason, canceling a solution process often takes a very long time with COMSOL (10's of minutes to hours). So what it happening that takes so much time to stop? I would think if you're just aborting the solution process (dumping the data) that could happen quickly. I have another FEA code I sometimes use (Ansoft Maxwell) and it doesn't have this issue. So it seems to be something specific to COMSOL. Is there a different way I need to go about this?

Thanks for any feedback on this!
Pat
