Surface Pressure Integration Problem under the Laminar Flow Physics

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi all,

I experienced two problem when doing my simulation under the Laminar Flow Physics. My COMSOL version is 4.0a.

Please refer to the attachment for detailed model information.

Problem 1. I cannot get convergence solution after I changed the mesh density (element size) from "Normal" to "Fine";

Problem 2. When I did the Surface Pressure Integration in COMSOL, I found that the results I got are highly dependent on the "Point Pressure Constraint" value which is not right since in Navier–Stokes equation, there is one term related with the gradient of pressure, and therefore, the solution should dependent only on the gradient of pressure rather than pressure itself.

Does anybody else experienced the same problems with me?

Thank you in advance.

Jinzhou
