A beginner's question regarding flow simulation of perforated pipes

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Greetings!

One of the major tasks for my project is to achieve laminar flow after a diffuser leading from a perforated pressure pipe. The flow inside the perforated pipe is turbulent, the holes in the pipe lead to a diffuser which is supposed to convert it into laminar flow before releasing the water to the tank.

I have all the necessary information regards to fluid properties, dimensions of the holes and pipe, all I really want to know is if there are any tutorials similar to this problem? I'm not sure whether to use laminar flow or turbulent in the "add physics" section for this problem.
