Sound absorber

Hello,

I want to model a sound absorber that will be able to absorb ultrasound. Does anybody have any idea how can I model this in the acoustic module of COMSOL?

Thanks,

Hi,

If you don't want the wave to reflect on boundaries, then you can try perfectly matched layer (PML). Perhaps it's the best in frequency domain analysis.
There are also several boundary conditions available such as low-reflecting boundary or impedance matching.

If you want to investigate the absorber itself, maybe you can include damping in the material.

Best
