large 3D model

I have a large 3D RF model, GMRES solver and geometric multigrid solver used, sweeping the frequency.

For frequency range 3.75e14 ~ 7.15e14 and 8.2e14~1e15, it converged very fast, but very slow at range 7.25e14~8.1e14. is it because of the mesh (for the refractive index changing with frequency) or other reason?

Is there any one has any idea about why this happened?

what determine the convergence speed? the iterations number?? or the mesh?? or something else??
