will work planes affect the heat conduction?

I want to simulate the heat conduction in the solid material. And I want to get the heat flow through the cross section on some position. So I want to create a work plane on the position and partition the bulk solid into two parts, and then integrate the heat flux through this work plane. But I was wondering if the work plane affects the heat conduction.

No, the workplane has no impact to the physics.
