Inductance of an FE Model

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am trying to do a transient analysis of a 3D FE Model by coupling Magnetic Fields, Electrical Circuits and Electric Currents. I have a capacitor with an initial voltage and a small resistor in my circuit and I am trying to get the waveform of the pulse as I discharge the capacitor in a time-dependent study.

However, since there is no inductance in the circuit the pulse doesn't have a rise time but I want the pulse to have a rise time since the FE model has an inductance. How can I make the simulation include the inductance of the FE model as it calculates the current density so that the current density starts from 0 A/m^2 at 0 s.

Thanks,
Felix
