Model Sequence Setup for SM

The note below contains advice from COMSOL Applications in response to an effort to simulate an injection molding sequence. In this model there are several simulation steps which pass the accumulated stress-state onto the subsequent simulation step. His response:

“You should not use both initial stress and initial strain as an input to
your second model. You should have either stress or strains as initial
input for the second model.

When you add the second solid mechanics application, you should not go to
the next option for study type. Instead as soon as you add the second solid
mechanics physics, you can click on the "Finish" button (A Flag on the top
right hand side of the "Settings" window). This will not add another study
type. Then you can right click on the Study 1 and choose another Stationary
Step. I see that you have correctly disables solid mechancs(solid2) in the
first step and disabled solid mechanics (solid) in the second step. This is
ok.

Best regards,
Chandan”
