connecting imported stl mesh with comsol geometry for simulation

I have imported a mesh in stl. format to comsol and have a 3d gemetry buit in comsol. I am unable to connect both the assemblies to run heat simulation in comsol and thus to see the effect of heating by the geometry on the mesh.
Can anyone please guide as to how do i bring the two assemblies together and can then rum simulation on it.
Your Help is urgently required and i will be very grateful.
