Stress-Strain simulation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi to all!
I'm a PhD Student in computational chemistry.
I have an answer for everyone who wants to help me.

I'm trying to do some simulation of a tensile test on different materials (polymers or metals) to simulate and match experimental datas obtainable with this kind of mechanical test (like stress-strain curves and maximum load ecc.).

Any suggestion?

At this time i'm trying to do this in the 2D (or 3D) module -> structural mechanichs -> plane stress (or solid stress-strain in 3D).
Like in the real case how can i say to comsol to apply a force which can stretch my material (in experimental lab the only set in the press is the space stretch VS time like 50 mm/s for example).

so, this is my problem i wait for any suggestion

thanks

Did you find how to simulate stress-strain?
