Hello,
I am trying to model the expansion of a graphite sphere (15 um diameter) in tissue due to a temperature increase. This would ultimately result in the generation of a pressure wave in the tissue. I would like to apply a temperature increase which would result in the graphite expansion. The graphite expansion would then be coupled to the tissue resulting in the propagation of a pressure wave through the tissue.

I am currently trying to model the expansion of the graphite sphere upon temperature increase , but I cannot get a spherically symmetric expansion.

Does anyone have any experience modeling the expansion of a sphere due to temperature, and then coupling that expansion to another material in order to induce a displacement or pressure wave in that second material?
