Trying to Model the deflection of a 2D membrane deflection under the application of an electrostatic force

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

hi,

I am trying to model the deflection of a square membrane when an electrostatic force is applied. The model is as shown in the attached pdf. The membrane is made up of stacked materials. and the gap between the electrode is filled with air. However when i try and solve the solution I get A singular matrix error. I have used the plain strain,ALE and electrostatic model.

Please help

Thanks
