Mesh Simulation Time

Guys I am using a model for contamint removal using secondary clarifier. I have downloaded the file and used it as a template. I ran 9 different models for the mesh and normal mesh simulation time is longer than fine, finer and extra fine. Nothing on the statistics show anything that could suggest why that happens
