Modelling Thermal Plasma with Atmospheric Pressure

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I want to model the an ICP torch considering argon ionization. My simulation is something like the Thermal Plasma case in the application library, but my working pressure is atmospheric. Do to highly non-linear nature of the problem, I run into problems and stuck with errors in convergency! Digging in the internet I found that there might be trick to solve this problem, such as increasing the pressure gradually, but I am still not successful in resolving the convergence related issues. Do you have any advice in this regard?

Thank you.

Jahan
