Transform an imported geometry into a solid body

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to change the object type of an imported 3D .stl file into solid?
I could only find this option for geometries created in COMSOL...

I suppose it works over the Conversions button.
But I'm wondering whether the feature of solidness remains after scaling the item?
