Surface tension as a variable

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello all,

I have a general question about surface tension in COMSOL.

Can surface tension be assigned as a dependent variable? More importantly, can it vary in time AND space? Or be assigned as a function of temperature?

I have a feeling that this is possible in the Microfluidics or CFD module, but I am not sure.

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Alex

I believe it can. COMSOL has built-in surface tension values for common liquid-solid and liquid-liquid interfaces but you can put your own value and it can be a function of temperature, time, position, etc.
