Comsol 6.4 on Linux w/ multiple GPUs

Hi,

I've recently been trying to make Comsol use multiple GPUs on a Linux-based supercomputer. Both CPU-only and single GPU configurations work fine.

The machine has 4 GPUs, and given the same CUDA-related variable values, Python manages to use all 4 while Comsol only uses 1. My study uses the cuDSS solver, and I've ticked the option to use multiple GPUs in the solver config menu, to no avail...

Anyone facing the same issue or having thoughts on the matter ?

Cheers

Here is a guess. I have used the gpu cuDSS direct solver on a cluster machine at our University of Tennessee/Knoxville. This cluster has both multiple nodes, cpus/node, and gpus using the Floating Network License (FNL). I am not sure how many gpus I was actually using in that configuration, but I suspect it uses everything available with the FNL. I am not sure if the shared memory parallel processing works the same with gpus as cpus since there are many more cores on a gpu typically. You may also need to work with the system administrator on your cluster to get it setup correctly. Also, send in a support case with your license should help significantly. Would like to hear what you find out.
