Free convection in oil

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I am trying to simulate free convection in transformer oil, but I find it kinda hard. Its easy to simulate free convecction in gases or water using Conjugate Heat Transfer (Fluid and Volume Force nodes). It's necessary to set specific heat ratio while for oil such a value doesn't seem to exist. And for oil density depends only on temperature when Im using equation mat1.def.rho(patm[1/Pa],T0[1/K])[kg/m^3] to calcute rho.ref for calculating volume force - -g_const*(nitf.rho-rho_ref). Anyone has an idea? Please let me know..
