How to solve discontinuity at the layer interfaces in 3D?

Hello,

I am working on heat transfer in soils. I have a 4 layered model to simulate. Each layer has different properties. After I run the analysis I saw there is discontinuity at the interface of the layers. Any idea about the problem or to correct it? Can't upload the model as the size is too big. I hope the picture will give an idea.
