I know that in comsol 3.5a there is PMLs in Structural mechanics module, but I don't see it in comsol 4.0(Freqeuncy domain)

Is there no PMLs in Structural mechanics module in comsol 4.0?

Hi

you are right there is PML in SME 3.5a, (haddent really realised, I use them to now only in ACDC) so if you cannot find it (yet) in V4, I'm pretty shure its because its no yet fully implemented and tested.
Do not forget that with COMSOL when soemthing is put in it should be compatible with about everything (All Physics), this takes time to check.

So I would expect to see it appear in one of the next releases of V4

Sorry cannot help more
Ivar
