Bending a thin layer

Hello,

I just started to use COMSOL and now I'm stuck on a problem. I want to simulate the resulting stress in a thin sandwich structure when bending the structure into a ring shape (3D). To make it easier I started with a single thin layer and a 2-dimensional model. I'm using a Prescribed Displacement to simulate the deformation. Unfortunately the resulting deformation looks not at all how I want it to look. In my simplified model I just want to shape a half ring. Therefore, I set a Fixed Constrain on the one side of the layer and a Prescribed Displacement on the other end of the layer. The Prescribed Displacement should move the one end of the layer over the other end and forming a half ring. But instead there is just a very small deformation in X and Y direction. Why does COMSOL not bend the structure into a half ring?
Attached you can find my simplified model!

I hope somebody can help me with this. The task seems to be very easy, but I can't find my fault.
Thank you very much.
Marcel
