solver convergence error in near-field distribution simulation on thin film

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,
I try to simulate the near-field on a thin film in 3D. I use a plane wave emitted from a circular boundary, a PML with scattering boundary condition and a very fine film surface structure incoporated into a 3D object.

Always when I try to solve the setup, I get the following error message:
"Failed to find a solution:
The relative error is greater than the relative tolerance, for the direct solver.
Returned solution has not converged."

I would appreciate it, if someone could tell me what to do, to solve this issue! I tried already to improve the mesh
