Ray Optics Modeling Capabilities in COMSOL Multiphysics® Version 5.6

In this recorded webinar, you will learn about the features and functionality included in the Ray Optics Module in version 5.6 of COMSOL Multiphysics®. The webinar starts with an overview of what is new and covers some of the most prominent updates, including:

  • New features for ray scattering on rough surfaces and in dilute, particle-laden media
  • The new Ideal Lens feature for quick setup of paraxial lens systems
  • Enhanced ray rendering and the addition of partial transparency options in postprocessing

Throughout the webinar we demonstrate the new features using different tutorial models. You can download the files associated with the demonstrated models from the Application Gallery:

You can read about the full functionality of the Ray Optics Module here. To get more information on the functionality that was added or updated in each version of COMSOL Multiphysics®, see the Release History page.
