Intensive introduction to thermal modeling and analysis using COMSOL Multiphysics®

During the 4-day online training course, we will discuss the capabilities of the Heat Transfer Module for thermal modeling and analysis. We will cover how to model the three modes of heat transfer (conduction, convection, and radiation) using predefined heat transfer interfaces. Then we will share how the Heat Transfer Module can be used for modeling electronic cooling, bioheating, thermal stresses, electromagnetic heating, phase change materials, and various other thermal applications.

The training course will also provide an overview of several important features available in the Heat Transfer Module for efficient thermal analysis, such as thin layers, thermal contact, lumped thermal models, isothermal domains, and user-defined heat sources to name a few. You will learn to study the influence of various design parameters, such as the choice of materials, geometric dimensions, and operating conditions on the temperature distribution.

Training Course Objective

We will use a combination of instructive and self-guided hands-on training together with theoretical and practical lectures. The goal is to immerse you in the COMSOL Multiphysics® modeling workflow and help you feel comfortable working with the Heat Transfer Module. By the end of the training course, you will know how to efficiently model heat transfer with the COMSOL® software.
