Trying to plot the result of a parameter sweep

I am using COMSOL 4.0a > 2D > emw > mode analysis.
I am trying to do a line plot of the refractive index of an optical waveguide, as I sweep a geometrical parameter.
I can set up the waveguide and solve for the correct mode. Then, I sweep the relevant geometrical parameter and it works just fine. I can look at each step of the swept parameter and the mode looks great. At the top of each colorful 2D plot it says "Effective index = [some number]". It is this number that I want to plot, versus the value of the swept geometrical parameter
How do I do this? i.e. how do I plot the geometrical parameter on the x axis and the "Effective index" on the y axis, without manually going in and writing down each value?
This should be the simple part! -- but I can't figure it out.
Thanks
