Theory Magnetic Fields Interface. A doubt

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear COMSOL users,

I am working with Magnetic Fields (mf) and I have read the part of the guide titled by "Theory for the Magnetic Fields Interface" and there, it is said that the term involving the velocity (v) only applies in the 2D and axisymmetric formulations. My question is why it must be applied in this cases and what it means.

On the other way, meanwhile in Frequency Domain Equation it is used the term der(D)/der(t), why isn't it used in Transient Equation?

Finally, it isn't really applied the Faraday Law that says: E=-grad(V)-der(A)/der(t) but E=- der(A)/der(t), why is it taken grad(V)=0?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Isa

Hi

the Lorentz velocity terms were not there for all geometries in ACDC 4.1, they are back also in 2D-axi now in v4.2

Good luck
