double periodic boundary conditions

I like to solve the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equation for an incompressible fluid using the stream function vorticity formulation inside a square domain (PDE). As boundary conditions I like to impose double periodic boundary conditions. That means that the dependent variables and their fluxes are identical on each of the two couple of opposing boundaries. So continuity across the horizontal boundaries and continuity across the vertical boundaries of my square domain. I have attached the model. Comsol is unable to find a consistent initial value. If instead I use Dirichlet boundary conditions on all four boundaries or Dirichlet on the two horizontal ones and periodicity on the vertical ones, it works and Comsol solves the problem. But somehow it does not solve the double periodic case. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Can anybody help?
