Selective meshing

Hi,

After meshing the geometry using an extremely fine mesh, I would like to further increase mesh density in certain regions like the inlet and outlet of a microfluidic channel.

Can I do this in COMSOL 4.2?

I also want to use custom lines to plot 2D line graphs across the channel after I obtain the results.

How do I do this?

Hi

check the doc on mesing, you also have the mesh refinement nodes in v4, just as you can add several"distributions or sizes for different edges/boundaries to a meshing node to selectively control the meshing density

Good luck
