Vector optics: longitudinal fields in boundary conditions

Hi! I want to model a tightly focused laser beam in the frequency domain wave optics module, I am interested in diffraction in various micrometer scale geometries. Let's say the laser beam propagates along the z-axis. For my applications, Ez is as important as Ex, Ey.

What is the correct way to excite some optical system with a fully vectorial optics laser beam of arbitrary analytical envelope? I would like to use matched boundaries on all sides except the boundary where the laser comes from.

I have tried using scattering boundary conditions with incident field, but that ignores Ez. I also tried using surface (electric and magnetic) current densities but that also does not allow for any z-component of the electric field. It seems that what I want is a time harmonic surface charge density boundary condition, but that is only available in the semiconductor modules.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
