Edge Load in 2-D MEMS Model

Hello

I am curious about the the boundary settings (Plane Stress) in 2-D. In the field "Fes_forcex_emes", for Maxwell's Stress tensor I presume I have to choose the option "Edge Load is defined as force/area using the thickness". But when I do that, should I multiply the "Fes_forcex_emes" with the thickness i.e. "Fes_forcex_emes*thick" or should I just leave it as it is? If I leave it as it is, what role does the thickness play then?

Also in the help file I could not find an entry which defines "Edge Load". If someone can define what it is (I am really a beginner) i.e. does it not take into account the thickness etc I would really appreciate it.

Thanks
Adnan
