Heat transfer in a fluid layer: convection - a stationary problem

Dear Comsol Community

I want to simulate a system as shown in the figure attached (set_up.png). I have two solids and a fluid layer in between. The dimensions are in the millimeter range. I want to get the temperature distribution of the system without the air region. (Later I want to do the same in 3D).

Questions:
1. How can I implement the heat transfer by convection in the fluid? I would like to have the effect of any turbulence induced by the heater. I wonder also if it is possible that the fluid from the sides (green lines) can move out and move in through the borders.
a. Currently I am just using laminar flow and couple it with the heat transfer node. I used thermal insulation on the green lines and the wall 1 of the laminar flow node in the fluid region.

2. How can I correctly include the condition of the surrounding air?
a. So far I don't use an airbox. I use heat flux 1: convective heat transfer with a heat transfer coefficient (HTC) of 5-19 W/(m2*K) and an external temperature of T_ext = 293.15 K. But I don’t know which HTC values are correct.

Thank you very much for any help.

Best wishes,
Matthias
