Chemical Engineering with COMSOL® in 18 Minutes - Archived
If you want to learn the basics of simulating material transport and heat transfer together with chemical kinetics, then this 18-minute webinar may be for you.
We will demonstrate how you can set up a model of a perfectly mixed system and investigate chemical kinetics by entering chemical equations.
In this webinar, we will first solve the model equations for a time-dependent study to obtain the composition in the reactor as a function of time. Next, we will add thermodynamic and transport properties, computed using the built-in thermodynamic properties database, and then solve the model equations under nonisothermal conditions to obtain the temperature profile in the reactor with time. In the last step, we will create a space-dependent model from the perfectly mixed space-independent model.
The webinar will include a live demo in the COMSOL Multiphysics® software.
