Which Linux Operating Systems are supported by COMSOL?
COMSOL strives to support maintained Long-Term Support (LTS) versions of the most popular Linux distributions used in enterprises. This includes CentOS 7 (until 2024), Ubuntu LTS versions, Debian, and Redhat Enterprise Linux. Alternatives to CentOS include Oracle Linux and possibly future Rocky Linux versions.
System requirements from third party software may limit our ability to support certain older still maintained distribution versions in new COMSOL versions.
COMSOL does not expect to be able to provide extended support for versions of distributions that have passed their initial LTS support period.
For the currently supported Linux Distributions, please see System Requirements
