In this webinar, you will learn how to model wave and ray optics using the COMSOL Multiphysics® software. We will demonstrate how to set up and model ray propagation in large optical systems. This treatment of electromagnetic radiation uses approximations that are appropriate when the geometry is large compared to the wavelength.
We will also demonstrate the capabilities of the Wave Optics Module add-on to COMSOL Multiphysics®. The functionality of this module is used to study and predict the behavior of photonic devices, integrated optics, optical waveguides, couplers, fiber optics, and more. Finally, we will discuss how the effects of other physics phenomena can be incorporated into ray or wave optics models to create high-fidelity coupled multiphysics models.
There will be Q&A session at the end, and you are welcome to ask questions throughout the webinar.
